2016 Trayvon Martin Black Out Silent March

NAACP Youth and College Division
Trayvon Martin “Black Out” Silent March

In honor of what would have been his 20th birthday, please join the NAACP@CSUMB college chapter for our 4th annual Trayvon Martin silent march through the CSUMB campus.

We will meet at the Black Box Cabaret at 6pm and the march will take off at 6:15pm. We are asking everyone to wear black if you can.

We will march silently through campus with signs and hold a brief “die-in” at the library, followed by a reading of our resolution and community comments.

Directions to Black Box Cabaret

Take Highway 1 to Lightfighter Drive

Turn left on General Jim Moore

Turn left on Inter-Garrison Road

Try parking in health and wellness center parking lot (first on the right)

or, if full the next parking lot on your right down the street (by the police station)

Because the NAACP required us to submit the messages on our signage, we ask to restrict home made signs to the following messages if you possibly can:

  • Racial Profiling Kills

  • Not One More Killing
  • Hands Up, Don’t Shoot
  • Black Lives Matter

  • I Am the Future…Don’t Shoot
  • End the NEW Jim Crow
