Welcome to NCBI
Monterey County!

We are very glad to have met you on the Driven to Serve Community Bus Tour!  We are proud of the role that NCBI Monterey had in promoting a need for such an event to include the community of Seaside and are so appreciative of the CSUMB Catalyst Center and Service Learning Institute for making the tour happen!  And of course we are so pleased that you have indicated an interest in NCBI Monterey County.

Leadership & Diversity Training
What We Offer

We are an international leadership training organization dedicated to ending discrimination and intolerance of every kind.  Some our programs include, Diversity Leadership Training, Controversial Issues Process, Skills for Shifting Attitudes, and Violence Prevention.  We are especially focused on extending programs to our youth and have NCBI clubs at 4 local high schools (Seaside, Marina, Carmel and Palma) and there is an NCBI affiliate at CSU Monterey Bay.  Contact Caroline Haskell at chaskel@csumb.edu to inquire about getting involved with NCBI on campus.  To get involved with NCBI off campus you can contact Steven Goings (sgoings@csumb.edu, 831 277 1523), Sue Parris (Chapter Director) at sue.parris@ncbi.org or President Elena Loomis at erloomis@gmail.com

Upcoming Events:

Diversity Leadership Training — Nov 15 & 16, 8am to 4pm, Marina High School

If you are interested in being trained in NCBI leadership and diversity techniques you may wish to volunteer for the upcoming training for local high school students.  Contact Asya Guillory (remember her?  She was on the bus with you today…she’s our Vice President) at aguillory@csumb.edu

NCBI Monterey County 20th Anniversary Celebration  — likely date Oct 25, 7 to 10pm, location to be announced.

We’ll let you know when we have confirmed the time and location, but we wanted to let you know that we are planning a talent show and silent auction among other things.  Stay tuned!
